3 Years Anniversary

1. THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Music and the music industry is something I am extremely passionate about. The fact that the journey has not come easily to me as with many people pursuing a career in music, makes me even more grateful. To be fair, I’m humbled. I’m excited, I’m ecstatic, and in my honesty, I’m nervous. Three years in ministry, if you ask me, it feels like ten years. Because I’ve seen it all. I’ve faced it all. But the ‘Great I Am’ has been with me. In fact, if I have to count my blessings within these three years, they’re enormous. But so do I also count my challenges and difficulties. I have faced deep, thick trying times. I’ve had problems with ministry trying to go commercial; but little did I know I’ll be losing great friendships. But God became a pillar though it all. As I said, it’s been a fantastic year. And sincerely, I thank everyone who has supported me – my family, my fans and my team – your silent prayers, encouragement, sharing my contents, voting for me – I’m grateful. And when I pray, I remember you all. Keep supporting my ministry. Gob blee you all.

2. MY MUSICAL JOURNEY

Frankly speaking, I must say I was born with the gift of singing. I started singing for family and friends in my adolescent period as a hobby. As I developed a strong appetite for music, I began to compete in several music reality shows and modelling to hone my talent. Besides, at age 19, I began writing songs. During that period, I was also a member of my church choir. Interestingly, I had no idea that one day I would take music as a mainstream calling. Ever since I moved to the UK, I’ve been ministering at various churches through which I had the inspiration from God to release my first singles as a professional musician.

3. MY ALBUMS

Currently, I have one album which I released in 2022. The album title is “Faith” which contains 10 spirit-filled and life-changing songs – “Heal the Land”, Hyebrε Sesafo, Give Me Rest, Abundance of Grace, Shidaa featuring M.O.G MUSIC (May 2021), Conqueror (released in 2020), Besuka (July 2020) and Unchangeable God (March 2020), Give Me Rest (Instru.) and Shidaa ft. M.O.G Music (Instru.). the rest of the songs were released in 2022 to minister healing, hope, and encouragement to God’s flocks.

4. AWARDS & HONOURS

As a minister of the Gospel, I don’t sing for awards, but for rewards from above. Nonetheless, it is always an honour and a privilege when your works are recognised and celebrated. Throughout my music career, I’ve received several awards from Ghana and the UK to the glory of God. Last year, I took home the UK-based Best Gospel Song of the Year (2022) at the Ghana Music Awards UK, 2021 UK-based Gospel Artiste of the Year and Best Gospel Song of the Year. In 2022, I was honoured as the Excellence Song Writer at the Maratha Awards USA. In August 2020, my Besuka Gospel video won the Best International Video of the Year award organised by the WWGMVA UK, among several awards, nominations such as the UK-Based Gospel Artist of the Year by Ghana Music Awards Europe, International Female Artist/Vocalist of the Year by the Gospel Choice Awards USA, Humanitarian of the Year by the Women’s Choice Awards Africa, Gospel Artiste of the Year – Diaspora by Ghana Gospel Music Awards.

5. BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

The one I’m enamoured with is when my YAT Ministry Foundation donated items and money to the Eye of the Lord Orphanage in Ghana. The world was still plagued with the pandemic, and I was wondering how the orphans were coping with it. I became so excited when I was able to achieve this feat. Another is when I was given the rare opportunity as an African, to lead the British Armed Forces Band in October 2021 for Black History Month. That same year, I was published in the UK’s main edition of Black History Month Magazine.

6. MY FANS

As I have always said, I see this more of a ministry than a career. I feel very appreciative that God can use me as an instrument of praise and point of contact to reach His people. I thank all my fans from Ghana, UK, and across the globe for their unrelenting support and ask them to keep supporting YAT Ministry.

7. MY TEAM

I’m forever grateful to my husband for his immense support. To Fii Mensah – Artiste Manager; Emmanuel Jewel Peprah Mensah – PR Manager, Qweku Nyarko Glover – Blogger, Sammy of X_tee Muzik Lab – Sound Engineer/Music Producer. I also appreciate the support from Franky 5, OB Nartey, and all for their guidance and directions throughout my music journey.

8. YAT MINISTRY FOUNDATION

Aside from music, I am also into philanthropic activities. Through YAT Ministry Foundation, we have several organisations including the UK Action Cerebral Palsy Unit and the Eye of the Lord Orphanage in Ghana. It is through this charity works that I received the Brigadier’s Coin honorary in 2021 from the 101 Logistics Brigade in the UK.

9. and IT CONTINUES….

To the glory of God, the future is bright!
