Minister Yvonne Nominated for Best Gospel Artiste of the Year
Nominations for the 5th Edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK were announced on 23rd July, 2021 in Accra, Ghana at the La Palm Beach Hotel with some Ghanaian artistes featuring in differentcategories.
UK-based Gospel sensation, Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah who is currently rocking the UK Gospel screens and topping charts with her soul-edifying gospel songs is on the list for the 2021 awardsedition by the Academy Board.
Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah’s previous body of work, “Besuka” got the nod.
The singer-songwriter is nominated under two major categories – UK-Based Best Gospel Artiste and Best Song of the Year categories alongside other entertainers like Suzie Sam, Alice Mckenzie, and Yaw Boateng.
Already, the song “Besuka” has received wider acclamation and laurels including winning the Best International Video of the Year award organised by WWGMVA in UK in last year August 2020.
The outstanding vocalist who doubles as HR Specialist with the British Armed Forces is currently in Ghana promoting her latest single “Shidaa” (Ga word for Thanksgiving) featuring MOG MUSIC. The new song is out and available on all digital stores.

The fast-rising UK-based Gospel diva, Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah appears to have caught the eyes of industry experts despite her short stint in the entertainment industry. Her success story is hugely attributed to her outstanding vocal dexterity, spirit-filled and impactful songs as well as enchanting stage performances.
Minister Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah is nominated for Ghana Outstanding Woman in Music, for her award-winning song “Besuka”.
The enigmatic performer who also works with the British Armed Forces as HR Specialist, has recently released her new song “Shidaa” (Ga word for Thanksgiving) featuring MOG MUSIC. The new single can be found on all digital stores.
The humanitarian award scheme, Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) which was recently launched for the 2021 edition seeks to recognize women in communities throughout Ghana and Africa, who are devoted to the welfare of humanity by contributing their quota to society.
According to Madam Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, Executive Director of Askof Production, nominees for the awards must come from areas such as politics, health, education, sports and showbiz.
The awards gala which is slated for 1st October, 2021, will be streamed live on all social platforms, and promises to be an unforgettable and exciting experience that invited guests cannot afford to miss.

Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah announces new song “Shidaa” featuring MOG
Yvonne Asamoah-Tawiah’s long-awaited new song has a release date at last.
Lovers of soul-edifying music have been waiting for months for new music from the singer-songwriter, and she now has two surprises for her fans; a new song and a feature with the award-winning Gospel singer, Nana Yaw Boakye, famously known as MOG, in the showbiz industry.
The “Conqueror” singer made the sweet and double announcement on her Facebook page to reveal the name of her new single “Shidaa”, a Ga dialect meaning ‘thanksgiving’, which is set to drop next three-week Friday, May 28, 2020.
The UK-based Ghanaian HR Specialist with the British Armed Forces and outstanding vocalist, also shared the good news on her Instagram, posting the artwork of the forthcoming song, with the caption “Get ready to give Him thanks and Praise for He alone deserves it. Anticipate. #shidaa #Godfirst #conqueror”.
This will be her 4th song since her top-charting and award-winning song “Conqueror”, was released in UK last year, October 2020.
MOG is the first artist Minister Yvonne has featured on her songs. MOG won the Vocal Artiste of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The song will be available on all digital platforms for inspiration, thanksgiving and enjoyment.
